INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE · NIGERIA
Full-scope delivery of a stranded-gas-powered compute facility, from procurement in Canada to energization in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. TON delivered a 1 MW containerised compute facility to a remote riverine community site in Bayelsa State with no road access. The scope ran end to end: procurement and fabrication in North America, ocean freight, customs clearance, inland transport, river barge, civil works, electrical integration, local crew training and commissioning. The logistics were the hard part. The primary shipment was rerouted mid-voyage to a deeper-draft port and moved onto intermediate transfer vessels. Equipment cleared customs under armed escort, travelled inland by road, then downriver by barge for final crane offload. When local suppliers could not provide cable meeting North American standards, TON air-freighted compliant cable from Canada rather than accept a substandard installation — a decision that cost money and time and was the right call. On site, TON built reinforced concrete container pedestals and a transformer pad, extended the site perimeter, energized a 1,500 kVA site-specific transformer, and integrated the electrical system to North American standards. Local electricians were trained through a purpose-built video and documentation program so the site could be maintained without a permanent expatriate presence. 1 MW · 1,500 kVA transformer · 4 transport modes
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE · NIGERIA
A technical and commercial development study for a proposed 500–660 MW coal-to-power project in south-eastern Nigeria, based on the relocation and recommissioning of an existing supercritical coal plant. TON carried the study across the full development scope: site suitability assessment against grid access, water, transport corridors and topography; analysis of independent laboratory coal quality data against the plant's fuel requirements; heat rate and fuel burn modelling; levelised power cost forecasting across multiple offtake scenarios; plant dismantling, shipping and reassembly logistics planning; and a complete procurement and shipping timeline across equipment categories sourced from North America and Asia. The engagement concluded at development stage without proceeding to construction. 500–660 MW studied · development stage
